All different kinds of pipes have existed for thousands of years and have been used to transport garbage ever since the beginning of time.

Since then, plumbing has undoubtedly advanced significantly. In recent years, pipe materials have improved, becoming stronger and simpler to deal with. So, what plumbing name is most popular?

ABS Plastic Piping
ABS Additionally, drain and waste pipes leaving homes are made of ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) pipes. These pipes resemble PVC pipes in many aspects, with the exception that they are black.

As long as they are not exposed to the sun directly, they are also slightly more resilient than PVC pipes. And a much less cost than cast iron piping.

Copper Piping For Water Supply
For many years, copper has been a popular material for pipes. It has been a choice for a new building for years.

Copper does not alter the taste of the water, making it a great choice for water supply lines. However, copper plumbing may get pricey and the joints must be sealed or soldered upon installation using a propane flame.
80 Schedule PVCThis pipe, which is gray and strong, is designed for use in high-water pressure applications.

The pipe's wall thickness is indicated by schedule 80. Schedule 80 PVC can resist water pressure of at least 200 pounds per square inch. That's more than enough to take care of the necessities for a home.

Galvanized
Galvanized metal pipes are not used in new construction, despite the fact that they were once widely used and were thought to be excellent substitutes for hazardous lead pipes. The main issue with these is that they are prone to rust, which has a serious negative effect on the water quality in the house.

PEX
Water supply lines are the most common application for PEX, also known as polyethylene cross-linked pipes. This material will cost less than copper. They are simple to install and easy to distinguish between hot and cold water because of their flexible plastic design and straightforward color labeling.

This plumbing material I am not a fan of for Water Pressurized piping.
